A late 18th century unmarked gilt metal mounted Staffordshire enamel patch box, circa 1780
Of circular form with waisted sides, the royal blue ground heightened with 'honeysuckle' pattern around a gilt scroll cartouche painted with a floral spray. The hinged lid with mirror to the interior, the plain underside with royal blue enamel centring a gilt flowerhead.
