Matthew Caddick is a Director at Chiswick Auctions, specialising in estates, probate and general valuations across a wide range of art, antiques, design and collectables. An avid collector himself, Matthew’s long-standing interest in the field led him from a career in the City into the auction world, where his passion developed into professional expertise.

Matthew spent many years working as a general valuer and auctioneer at Chiswick Auctions, acquiring broad, practical knowledge across multiple collecting categories. He later played a key role in establishing the company’s first dedicated Watch and Jewellery sales, helping to drive the strategic shift from general sales to the specialist departmental structure in place today.

As a member of the executive leadership team, Matthew is closely involved in the overall strategy and management of the business. He divides his time between overseeing specialist departments, supporting valuation activity and advising private clients and professional advisors.

Matthew is heavily involved in estate and probate valuations and is responsible for sourcing material across all departments. His experience, commercial judgement and cross-departmental understanding make him a key point of contact for complex collections and multi-disciplinary valuations.
