Around the world with Wine and Rugs

Next week, we have another double sale week treat for you.

Firstly, we are pleased to introduce Rugs to our list of specialist departments. The first sale will be on Tuesday 31st March at 12 noon and it will be followed by the General sale. We have a mixture of the finest Persian, Turkish and Indian rugs on offer among key pieces from around the world, all featuring beautiful adornment and intricate designs from the early to late 19th Century. Take a look at what else is on offer in the sale catalogue (extra lots and images are being uploaded continually until Sunday evening).

Lot 19 is an extremely fine wool and silk ground Persian Isfahan from the late 20th Century and is signed by the weaver. Estimate £1,000 - 1,500

The Vintage Wine and Spirits sale will take place at 5pm on Tuesday 31st March and includes over 800 rare and vintage wines from around the world. Featuring in the auction will be one of the world's most desirable wines, Screaming Eagle from California (Lot 1064 Estimate £1,400 - 1,700). The catalogue is available online (extra lots and images are being uploaded continually until Sunday evening).

On Wednesday this week we held a fantastic book sale, where a quantity of 18th and 19th Century German books from the Hans Fellner collection sold for £4,800 incl Buyer's Premium.
