Next week, on Tuesday 23rd June at 12 noon we are holding a sale of Rugs,
followed by the General sale.
And on Wednesday 24th June we have a sale of Historical Documents and Ephemera at 1pm.

On Tuesday 17th June we will be holding another of our popular Rug sales. There are about 100 lots and our favourite - one worth watching - is this Persian Qum wool & silk carpet, mid 20th Century, 3.33m x 2.26m Condition Rating A. The estimate is £500-£800.

Don't forget that the stacks of rugs get turned at fixed times during the viewings at 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm on the Sunday and Monday before the sale, and at 10.30am on the sale day. You can view the complete sale in more detail in the online catalogue.

The following day, on Wednesday 24th June, our second Historical Documents and Ephemera sale will take place.

One fascinating lot is number here is 109, a very fine archive relating to 2nd Lieutenant Victor Howe, 97th Kent Yeomanry, Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, who was captured in Africa in 1942. It includes letters home from various POW camps, and posters for camp entertainments.

This week
 we held our first Antiquities sale and a very successful Printed Books and Manuscripts sale.

The first 6 lots of the Book sale achieved just over £16,800 inc. BP between them.

Two of the later lots gave the sale a true multi-denominational flavour:
Lot 68, a Holy Quran from the 18th Century achieved a hammer price of £4.440 inc. BP and a 16th Century bible at Lot 106 sold for £4,080 inc. BP
Coming up
 we have our final June sale - Medals and Militaria on 30th June will follow shortly. There are over 420 lots in this sale and consequently it will start at 11am.
And in July we will have 20th Century and Contemporary Art and Design on the 7th, Designer Handbags and Fashion on the 14th, Stamps, Coins and Banknotes on the 21st and Jewellery and Watches on the 28th.

We accept consignments up to 3 weeks before each Specialist sale,
and every week for our General sales.
