12/03/2015 Chiswick Curates
On Tuesday March 17th we will be holding a sale
of Jewellery and Watches, starting at 12 noon.
It will be followed by the General sale.
Amongst the jewels on display will be lot 50, a stunning diamond solitaire ring, 5.15ct approx. flanked by diamond shoulders. Estimate: £30,000 - £40,000.
There is a great deal of excitement on the watch front too, with an unusual ladies circa 1960s 18ct gold Rolex 'Precision' dress ring, on offer in lot 34. Estimate £200 - £300.
The catalogue is online.
On Wednesday March 18th we will be holding a sale
of Historical Documents and Ephemera, starting at 1pm.
And if it's historical gems you're after, this sale has an amazing selection of fascinating items; from the Royal Warrant appointing Winston Churchill as Lord of the Admiralty (lot 76, estimate £2,000 - £4,000) to an important letter from Gandhi to his son Harilal (lot 369, estimate £2,000 - £3,000). And there is plenty more in the catalogue.
On Tuesday this week, we sold a rare 1st period Worcester 18th Century porcelain mug, with printed black and white transfer decoration, depicting Oriental figures. It came from a house clearance in Kew and achieved £4,800 inc buyers premium.
Another interesting lot was a garage find; a 1934 pre-series Morris 8 saloon, burgundy/black, sold together with various spares. Worth looking in the garage as it sold for £2,040 inc buyers premium.
Dates for your TV diary, we have been told this week that Chiswick Auctions will be featured in Dickinson's Real Deal on Thursday 19th March and Friday 20th March. Both programmes start at 3pm on ITV.
Coming up, we have another double sale week: Fashion, Furs and Textiles on Tuesday 24th March and Printed Books and Manuscripts on Wednesday 25th March, at 1pm.
And the following week we have two sales in the same day - Rugs starting at noon on Tuesday 31st March (followed by the General sale) and then Vintage Wine and Spirits at 5pm.
We accept consignments up to 3 weeks before each Specialist sale, and every week for our General sales.
