Every Sale will have a full image catalogue on our website by the Sunday evening and a partial upload will start on the Friday evening prior to each sale. Text catalogues are available from reception during the viewing. (Illustrated catalogues are available for Fine Sales.)

Tuesday 9th April Auction will include a collection of affordable 19th Century and later Pocket Watches and a selection of vintage fur coats.

Tuesday 16th April Auction will be an interesting auction for 20th Century Art Collectors with the inclusion of 56 portraits and paintings by the artist Derek Fowler 1919 -1990.

We hope you had a Happy Easter weekend.

Our auction today was very busy; the company was open for viewing Sunday and Monday and had a steady flow of clientele over the weekend. There were some high prices realised for a number of lots here are some highlights of  this week’s sale.

Lot 1. A late 19th Century horn slender swagger stick, with curved handle.
Estimate: £80-100 - sold for £495 inc., buyers’ premium & VAT

Lot 5. A 19th Century Japanese, Meiji period, ivory based Shibayama carte de visite (case), inlaid with birds and flower heads, sold together with a Victorian tortoiseshell card case, inlaid with yellow metal foliage decoration. (2) Estimate: £120-160 - sold for £335 inc., buyers’ premium & VAT

Lot 61. An 18th Century oil on chamfered panel, rural landscape, centred with a shepherd and his resting flock, indistinctly signed to lower right. Estimate: £200-300 - sold for £370 inc., buyers’ premium & VAT

Lot 93. An interesting collection of various Albert watch chains to include hallmarked silver curb links with medallion fobs, heavy long links, etc. (Qty) Estimate: £100-200 - sold for £350 inc., buyers’ premium & VAT

Lot 252. Eric Ravilious, a collection of Wedgwood ceramic table wares including "Travel" and "Garden" patterns, etc, comprising plates, dishes, cups and saucers, and a tureen and cover. (13)

Lot 274. Paul Nash, Dame Laura Knight, Graham Sutherland, etc, a collection of Foley first edition ceramics with designs by various artists, comprising demi-tasse and saucers, tea cup and saucer and side plates. (14) Estimate: £100-200 - sold for £845 inc., buyers’ premium & VAT

Lot 901. A 20th Century contemporary designed grey leather and chrome metal suite of seating furniture comprising two, two seater settees and three strut chairs en suite. (5) Estimate: £150-200 - sold for £3720 inc., buyers’ premium & VAT
