Sales focus on movements such as Impressionism, Fauvism, Cubism, Futurism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism and Post-War art, and include artists such as Pablo Picasso, André Lhote, Claude Venard, Léopold Survage, Marcel Dyf and Zoran Antonio Music.
From entire single owner collections to individually consigned works, our sales have attracted a global audience. A stand-out recent performance for the department was a ‘white glove’ (100% sold) sale of works by Viennese emigré artist Marie-Louise von Motesiczky, selling for a combined price of £109,688 (inc. BP), against pre-sale low estimate of £26,100. Other notable recent auction results include Church Yard, attributed to George Pol Georghiou, sold for £28,250; Untitled, by Zarina Hashmi, sold for £30,000; and a work by Narayan Shridhar Bendre, Untitled, sold for £16,500.
