THREE WHEEL-CUT, DIAMOND-CUT AND GILT GLASS LAMP COVERS AND A DISH
PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT EUROPEAN PRIVATE COLLECTION
Possibly Bohemia, Czech Republic, or France made for the Middle Eastern market, late 19th century

Comprising three glass lamp covers, two of slender cylindrical shape, the third one with a globular body and tall, flaring neck, each one with crenelated rim and a variety of decorative motifs including wheel-cut clovers, vine trellis and ripe grape bunches; diamond-cut chequered grid with geometric motifs; and gilt vegetal and floral patterns; the tallest 30.5cm high; and a circular dish with crenelated gilt rim, the gilt interior with interlocking and scrolling vegetal sprays and oval rosette medallions framed within red and green beads, the exterior dark blue, 22.5cm diam.
