Arabic manuscript on paper, Sura Yusuf (12), vv. 53 - 56 and Sura al-Hijr (15), vv. 1 - 5, each folio with 7ll. of black ink naskh script to the illuminated page, the chapter headings in red ink on burnished gold cartouches beneath multi-layered polylobed gold and polychrome-painted arches, the borders with scrolling floral motifs, the text featuring interlinear gold decorative motifs, gold roundels as aya markers, red diacritic marks, catchwords, each folio individually mounted, framed and glazed, each folio 26cm x 16.2cm, 43cm x 32.5cm including the modern frame.
