Royal Interest – A mid-20^th century Iraqi silver and niello boss, Basra circa 1955

Within a seven-pointed star a portrait of King Faisal II الملك فيصل الثاني‎ of Iraq (1935 – 1958), reigned 1939-58. All within a crossed laurel wreath surmounted by the Royal Crown of Iraq. Signed to side, possibly Abed Al Ghani with another All later mounted in a glazed frame.
