An album of forty-five illuminated manuscript specimens, ink, gouache & gilt, the majority on vellum, one on board, nineteenth-century examples influenced by 15th century predecessors, the majority Christian, others from sources such as Tennyson, classical texts or epigrams, half morocco gilt, worn, folio, c. 1863.
