A Victorian sterling silver covered bowl, London 1863 by Richard Sibley II
Of circular form, raised on a domed circular foot, the sides and domed pull-off lid decorated with flowers and scrolls, each side of the body with a central cartouche engraved with a crest, one an arm embowed in armour bound about with a ribbon holding a spear with a flag, holding a flagstaff with a forked pennon charged with a cross and three bezants. The toher a dem-lion erased between a horseshoe(?). The stepped domed lid terminating in a wrythen finial and engraved with the same crests.
