A BRONZE SOCKETED AXE HEAD Circa first half of 1st Millennium B.C. With a curved cutting edge, tapering to the socket with a raised border and hemispherical protrusions on the underside, 14cm long. Provenance: Ex collection of R. Holdsworth Williams, Hampshire, discovered in 1932. This lot is accompanied by original 1932 letters pertaining to the piece.
