A late 19th century Indian Colonial silver teapot, Madras circa 1900 by T.R. Tawker and Sons
Of tapering oval form with a curved spout opposite a C scroll handle fitted with wooden insulators pinned to scroll sockets. The hinged disc lid above a cavetto surmounted by a detachable hemispherical knop finial. The body with engraved bands of trailing leaves centred with anthemia, forming a vacant oval cartouche terminating in rosettes heightened with bright cut lunettes. Marked underneath T. R. TAWKER & SONS MADRAS SILVER.
