A late 19^th century Indian Colonial silver pint mug, Madras dated 1887 by Peter Orr and Sons

Or tapering rounded circular form upon a moulded circular foot, with a tubular loop handle. Engraved to the front with a presentation inscription reading “Madras Gymkana 1887 The Pittapur Cup, Presented by Kumara Rajah of Pittapur Won by Mr H. J. Gould’s “Nyang” rider Dr Armstrong 1 ½ Mile Chase”. Stamped underneath P ORR & SONS MADRAS.
