Four early 20th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver small bowls, Lucknow circa 1910
Raj period. One of hexa-lobed form upon three fish feet, the pierced upper section of rosettes and foliate scrolls, the lower section with Kashmir style coriander pattern, gilt interior. Another bowl with circular form with shaped border, embossed with Madras style swami pattern. Another bowl of similar form with chased decoration of Cutch style foliate scrolls and another bowl with a scalloped rim, chased with Cutch style rosettes. The last three each with chased fish scale pattern underneath. (4)

This interesting group demonstrates the various patterns that Lucknow silversmiths copied from the rest of India, adapting them to distinctly Lucknow forms or with decorative elements such as fish feet or fish scale pattern undersides.
