A late 18^th century French engine turned tortoiseshell and unmarked gold mounted snuff box, circa 1780

Of circular form the hinged gently domed lid raised by a chased shell and scroll thumbpiece. The exterior with engine turned nested medallion. The interior of lid with a later glazed compartment with a print.
