Opaque pigments on wasli paper, the horizontal composition illustrating a scene from a Bhagavata Series with the young Krishna killing the demoness Putana by suckling, taking her life as well as her milk, the demoness represented as a beautiful young and plump woman with bulging round breasts, two standing attendants on each side witnessing the scene, set within black and white rules, and concentric orange, blue and red borders, 13.8cm x 25cm.
