PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT EUROPEAN PRIVATE COLLECTION
Eastern Iran or Central Asia, 9th - 10th century

Of circular shape, resting on a flat base, with a wide flat rim, decorated in red and manganese on white slip, with a central pseudo-Kufic inscription encircled by a red rule, a band of continuous stylised calligraphy around the rim, 20cm diam.
