Sheffield 1892 by Walker and Hall (John Edward Bingham)
A Victorian sterling silver Egyptian revival box

Of rectangular form with lion mask ring pull handles each side, the pull off lid surmounted by a figure of a Sphinx. Edged with engraved bands, a cartouche to each side, one with initials JRW in cypher, the opposite with CP between open hands. All upon a wooden base. Fully and part-marked.

Length – 14 cm / 5.5 inches
