A CHINESE CELADON-GLAZED DRUM-SHAPED VASE.

Qing Dynasty, Qianlong mark and probably of the period.

The ovoid body rising to a slightly incurved mouth, elegantly moulded with two taotie mask handles suspending mock rings framed above and below with a ring of bosses, covered overall with an even pale celadon glaze, the base with a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue, 15.5cm H.

Provenance: English private collection, acquired in Germany in 1994, a copy of the receipt available on request.
