Throughout his career, Bardone maintained a close friendship and working relationship with fellow French painter René Genis. The two artists travelled and exhibited together, often exchanging ideas and supporting one another’s creative evolution. Their collaboration extended into collecting art and founding the Fondation Guy Bardone–René Genis in their hometown.

Bardone’s paintings are housed in major public and private collections around the world, including the Centre Pompidou, Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris, and Moderna Museet in Sweden. His art continues to resonate for its rich use of colour and celebration of light and place.
