C.f. Compare a bitong of similar form and dated to the Kangxi period, sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 2 Dec 2015, lot 3147. This brush pot bears some similarities, notably the quartet of petal-shaped panels around the exterior and the naturalistic rim, although this pot differs in terms of decorations - this one with archaistic dragon motigs and a base of cresting waves. A larger brushpot was sold at Bonhams New York, 20 September 2021, lot 249.
Several brush pots of this type are held in museum collections, notably in the Liang Yi Museum in Hong Kong, museum nos. LYMF-130, LYMF-131, and LYMF-132. The British Museum also has a brush pot similar to aforementioned Christie's bitong, museum no. 1992,0601.1.
