A pair of George III sterling silver salts, London 1800 by William Allen III (reg. 10th Aug 1798)
Of oval ‘batswing’ form, the incurved ogee sides with rope twist rim and twin handles. Each engraved to the side with a crest of a demi greyhound collared. Gilt interiors. Each fully marked underneath and with additional French control mark (post 1893). (2)
