TAXIDERMY: AN EXOTIC BIRD HEAD AND FEATHERS IN WALL DOME,

a Himalayan Monal Pheasant (Lophophorus impejanus) head and bust (originally prepared in circa 1920 for use in the millinery trade), displayed alongside Ostrich and Peacock feathers in vintage glass wall dome with gilt frame.

36cm long x 30cm wide x 5cm deep.

Although the Monal Pheasant (Lophophorus impejanus) is listed CITES Apx 1/Annex A, it is also listed on Annex “X”.

Annex “X” = Special exemptions from certificate
There are specific circumstances where you do not need a commercial use certificate. These include: specimens of certain animal species (or hybrids of them) born and bred in captivity and listed in Annex X of EC Regulation 865/2006.
This includes Lophophorus impejanus, no licence is required to sell this in the UK. An export permit would be required to export this item outside of the UK.
