A heavy late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver sugar caster, Cutch circa 1890
Raj period, of tapering cylindrical form with a spreading skirt foot, the pull off domed lid surmounted by a pyriform finial. The body with embossed foliate scrolls populated with animals such as a lion, antelope, hare, and a boar, the skirt base with rosettes and stylised acanthus leaves. Drill pierced holes to the lid.
