AN ANTIQUE SOUTH CAUCASIAN LONG RUG

The sandy-yellow field with diagonal rows of stylised polychrome angular floral sprays. In an ivory, deep rust and charcoal-black triple border of multicoloured angular flowering vine between barber-pole and plain stripes, approx: 7ft. x 3ft.3in.213cm. x 99cm.). Good type and very good colour combination. This rug has slightly corroded black. Slight localized wear on the field down to knot colllar and below in places. Few small old repairs, well done. Selvages rebound, slightly fraying on wool cord in small places. Ends with short fringes. In general this rug is in decent usable conditon. Good furnishing piece.
