The indigo field with small octagonal rosettes around large soft-red medallion containing hooked and angular floral panel together with hooked bars and small rosettes enclosing radiating floral centrepiece. Hooked red spandrels similar. In red panelled lozenge floral octagon border between barber-pole and plain stripes, approx: 107cm. x 98cm. Very good example for this type with well drawn design and good colour combination. Apart of slightly corroded charcoal-brown, localized weat tovthe pie in one or two small places together with small old repair, very well done, this rug has good pile, soft wool quality. Ends with original kilim, secured. Selvages original. In general this rug is in very good usable condition. Attractive and elegant piece.
