A mixed group including a mid-18th century Dutch unmarked silver and mother of pearl snuff box, circa 1760

Of elongated octagonal form, the mother of pearl hinged lid engraved with a townscape showing a church and a windmill, raised by simple thumbpiece with chased detail, a tortoiseshell base. Later marked with dolphin duty mark. Together with an Edwardian sterling silver dressing table box, Birmingham 1903 by John Edward Wilmot, of elliptical form with engraved decoration of foliage against a textured ground with a vacant cartouche, gilt interior, also a miniature chair with chased grotesque mask legs and embossed flower heads, import marks for 1902 by Elly Isaac Miller.
