Arabesque and floral shaped spandrels. In soft brick-red border of similar design between palmettes, leafy sprays, arabesque and plain stripes, approx: 8ft.1in. x 5ft.2in.(246cm. x 157cm.) Excellent example for this type with beautifully drawn design and very good colour combination. This carpet has full pile. Very soft and lustrous kurk wool. Extremely fine weave, approx: 11 x 10 knots per sq.cm: woven on silk warps. Ends with original kilim and fringes. Selvages also original. In general this carpet is in an excellent condition throughout. Very attractive and great furnishing piece.
