AN APULIAN RED FIGURE AMPHORA Circa 4th - 3rd Century B.C. Both sides decorated with female heads in profile wearing saccoi and radiate diadems, enlivened with yellow slip, surrounded by foliate designs and palmettes below the handles, with a rosette on each side in the field and a wave baseline and a wave border running around the neck, standing on an integral foot, with arched handles and an everted lip, 18cm high. Provenance: Private UK collection, acquired prior to 2000.
