A Victorian sterling silver inkstand, London 1865 by George Fox
Of shaped oblong form upon four compressed ball feet, the pierced edge with a beaded rim cornered with lion masks. Three affixed compartments, two with hinged lids with hinged pins deficient. Engraved with a presentation inscription reading “Samuel Saner Lewes Esquire from the congregation of St Paul’s Deptford” and “A slight acknowledgement for seven years of gratuitous service as their organist”. Fully marked underneath.
