A PAIR OF LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT BRONZE AND ALGERIAN ONYX MANTEL CANDELABRA IN THE MANNER OF RAINGO FRERES OF PARIS

A PAIR OF LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT BRONZE AND ALGERIAN ONYX MANTEL CANDELABRA IN THE MANNER OF RAINGO FRERES OF PARIS each with three scrolling acanthus wrapped branches centred by a shorter fourth above, with pineapple finials and three glass lustre drops, supported by fluted pedestal stems raised on an oval breakfront bases with floral cornucopia and acanthus mounts, the bases wrapped with gilt laurel mounts raised on six toupe feet, each 50cm high (2)

Auction Comparable: Chiswick Auctions, London, 24 May 2017, Lot 115, A fine third quarter 19th century French gilt bronze and Algerian onyx mantel clock garniture by Raingo Freres of Paris, the candelabra garniture have very similar branches, bases and near identical mounts to the stems
