A Japanese cast iron tea kettle (tetsubin), Meiji - Showa period

The heavily cast iron tea kettle (tetsubin), of bulbous form, the lower half of the body with a fine grained textured body and the top half with a basket-weave pattern, with a short spout and long arched handle, together with a lid and a black lacquer brazier guard

Dimensions: 20.5cm high (tetsubin)
