A very fine Part silk Tabriz rug, north-west Persia

Approx: 195cm. x 150cm. Very good overall design with polychrome serrated palmettes, scrolling floral and leafy vine together with cloud-bands. Very good colour combination with soft light beige field. This rug has full pile, very soft and lustrous wool and part silk used on field and border design. Selvages original. Ends with original friges, secured. Very fine weave, approx. 8 x 8 knots per sq. cm. In general, this rug is in very good condition throughout. Great furnishing piece with very good square size.
