A group of three albumen prints, image sizes 18 x 25cm, depicting panoramic views of Santiago de Chile and the Santa Lucía Hill, whose name was given by Pedro de Valdivia, conqueror of the hill on 13th December 1540. That day celebrates Santa Lucía, and a Chapel dedicated to her was built on the Hill as a sign of gratitude and a site for prayers. In 1816, Manuel Olaguer Feliú, the Brigadier of the Royal Engineers, designed and built two forts and castles on the Hill.
