A George III sterling silver snuffers tray, London 1788 by Henry Chawner

Of navette form, with a pierced band of slats below the reeded rim, with a bright engraved border and a central reserve engraved with a man's head and neck couped at the shoulders wearing a long cap turned up erm. Fully marked to the reverse.

Length – 26.5 cm / 10.4 inches

Weight – 123 grams / 3.9 ozt

The crest is for Audley of Boston, Lincolnshire
