A good Queen Anne Britannia standard silver footed salver or tazza, London 1705 by Anthony Nelme (free. 1680, d. 1722)
Of circular form with a moulded rim, upon a spreading circular trumpet foot. The field centre engraved with a coat of arms within an oval cartouche flanked by foliage, surmounted by a crest of a hand holding an escallop-shell erect. The underside engraved with initials *S* over R * E in Roman script. Fully marked to the field edge and the foot with lion head erased only.
