Qing Dynasty, 18th - 19th Century

清十九世紀 青白玉童子牌飾

The finely carved plaque from pale celadon jade, the front depicting a boy setting fire to a firecracker resting on a stone slab with the moon in the distance, the cartouche further decorated wuth stylised clouds to the top and bottom of the plaque, the reverse, with a small cartouche of of a chilong dragon, another smaller cartouche with seal script characters reading [], the top and bottom similarly decorated with stylised cloud motifs.
