AN EXTREMELY FINE NAIN TUDESHK RUG, CENTRAL PERSIA

The ivory field with delicate floral and leafy vine together with polychorme palmettes and rosettes around concentric light beige floral medallion with pendants containing similar smaller panel and floral centrepiece. In an ivory border of serrated palmettes, arabesques and flowrring vine between arabesque, barber-pole and plain stripes, approx: 240cm. x 155cm. Great example for this type with soft pastel appearance. This rug has full pile, soft kurk wool quality. Both ends with original kilim and fringes. Selvages original. This rug very small dot like dirt which should be improved with light pile cleaning (subject to professional quote). Extremely fine weave, approx: 11 x 11 knots per sq,cm. In general this rug is in very good usable conditon. Sought after type. Elegnt and attractive piece.
