A late 19^th century Anglo – Indian silver beaker, Calcutta, Bhowanipore dated 1891 by Goopee Nath Dutt

Raj period. Of tapering cylindrical form. The body with embossed decoration in bamboo pattern. The upper rim engraved with a presentation inscription reading “S.V.L.H Camp of Exercise 1891 Inter-Troop Polo Match Won By”. The underside with rudimentary engraved name Knowles. Gilt interior. Marked underneath GOOPEE NATH DUTT BHOWANIPORE CALCUTTA.
