In rust border of polychrome hooked palmettes, delicate floral tendrils and arabesques between ivory and light blue rosette stripes. Outer plain stripe, approx; 11ft.10in. x 8ft.4in.(360cm. x 253cm.) Unusual to have this type woven in wool and carpet size. This carpet has full pile, soft wool quality. Very nicely balanced colours and well drawn design. Ends with short fringes, secured. Selvages original. Fine weave, approx: 7 x 7 knots per sq. cm. In general this carpet is in very good condition throughout. Very attractive and good furnishing piece.
