A large Victorian sterling silver gilt vinaigrette

Of rectangular form with engine turned decoration. The hinged lid and base with chased scrolling foliate edge. The centre with vacant shield shaped cartouche. The interior with hinged pierced grill with engraved scrolling flowers around a horn, and drill piercing. Fully marked to the lid interior, part-marked to interior base and grill.

Length - 5.6 cm / 2.2 inches

Weight - 73 grams / 2.34 ozt
