A pair of George III sterling silver wine coasters, London 1818 by Thomas Robins
Each of bombe circular form with an everted cast and applied rim of rocaille, foliage and C scrolls. The sides with embossed decoration of roses and strawberries with acanthus scroll, all reserved against a matted ground. Each with an asymmetrical rocaille C scroll cartouche to the front engraved with a crest of a cough, holding in his dexter claw a fleur-de-lis, and a small vacant cartouche to the obverse. Each with a turned mahogany base, inset to the centre with a plain gilt boss. Gilt interior to the sides. Each fully marked to the foot rim edge. (2)

The crest is for Hughes
Possibly for Lt. Robert Hughes (1774-1827) of Plas Yn Llangoed. High Sheriff of Anglesey in 1815
or his brother Sir William Bulkeley Hughes, of Plas Coch and Brin Du (1776-1836).
