A late 18th century mourning pendant The convex navette-shaped pendant, containing an ivory plaque, featuring a hairwork depiction of a maiden below a weeping willow, lamenting at the foot of a polished urn inscribed 'IN DEATH LA-MENTED AS IN LIFE BELOV'D', the glazed hairwork reverse centred by the monogram 'JC', length 5.7cm This lot may be subject to CITES regulations.
