The Leys School, Cambridge
Album of Leys School Life, c.1890s-1900s

An album of 30 albumen prints, image sizes 10 x 15cm (smallest) to 20 x 26.5cm (largest), featuring images of the Leys School life. Subjects include students and staff in daily activities, such as attending Science classes, and playing sports; a group portrait of professors, the maids cooking and cleaning for the students; images of the cafeteria, the dormitory, the chemistry laboratory, the art laboratory, and images of the surrounding park and the school. Including cut-outs and comics from The Globe magazine.

Blue and red lettering on the back cover: 'Presented to the Countess of Jersey, in grateful acknowledgment of her visit to the Ley School, Cambridge. Speech day, June 13th 1895'.
