AN ANTIQUE NORTH-WEST PERSIAN RUNNER

The shaded deep indigo field with overall design of multicoloured hooked panels, serrated palmettes, angular rosettes and hooked leavesin triple meandring angular flowering vive, between plain stripes, approx. 500cm x 102cm. Very nicely drawn design with very good colour combination, more asscociated with Karabagh weave. This runner has scattered wear mainly on side cords. The field has very slight wear to the pile down to knot collar in few places. Ends with short fringes with slight loss to guard stripe. Salvages rebound in few places with touches of fraying. Despite imperfections this rug is in good usable condition. Attractive, elegant and good furnishing piece.
