A George II sterling silver spoon tray, London 1731 by Joseph Sanders (reg. 7th December 1730)
Of plain rectangular form with embowed ends and cavetto edge. Fully marked to field corners.
Length – 16.2 cm / 6.4 inches
Weight – 98 grams / 3.15 ozt
Sanders, apprenticed to Thomas Ewesdin 1st Sep 1714, turned over to Jospeh Belcher 4th Sep 1719. First mark registered at Carey Lane. Resigned 15th May 1748. Mark principally found on salvers, waiters and sauceboats.
