清十八或十九世紀 銅鬲式三足爐

《宣得製》款

Of compressed form raised atop three gently-flaring feet, the slightly-recessed neck rising to a protruding rim, the base cast with an apocryphal three-character Xuande mark within a recessed cartouche,

12.7cm diameter overall, caliber 10cm diameter, 980g

c.f. A smaller censer from the Quek Kiok Lee collection bearing a similar, but two-character, mark, was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 8th October 2020, lot 399, and a comparable piece was sold at the same rooms, 30th November 2016, lot 3249. A comparable censer, dated to the 18th century but with a four-character mark, was offered at Sotheby's Paris, 10th June 2021, lot 121.
