A Full Plate Autochrome of a Commemorative Stained Glass Window, complete with Edis' Patented Diascope Viewer, c.1923. Housed in a fine leather case, overall measuring 27 x 22cm, with gilt borders and key illustration, and additionally credited in gilt below the viewing mirror "Autochrome Portrait by Olive Edis F.R.P.S. / Olive Edis Patent". The stained glass window depicted in this autochrome commemorates the members of the staff of Thomas Cook & Son who lost their lives in WWI. It was designed by Percy Macquoid RI, and produced by Clayton and Bell, and installed and unveiled in Peterborough on 26 April 1923. (Imperial War Museum ref.42957).
